Michael has been an executive coach and trainer since 2006. In that time, he has helped hundreds of successful professionals get out of their own way by enabling them to develop and maintain higher levels of self-awareness, productivity and effectiveness and create a bigger impact to the bottom line while experiencing greater satisfaction in their work and life.

Michael believes that we all share an innate desire for ongoing growth and development. But we’re usually our own worst enemies; we either can’t find the path to change, or we’re sabotaged by our well-worn patterns of behavior, emotion and thought. Michael’s clients appreciate the way he invites depth in the process of inquiring about what drives these patterns. With more understanding comes more freedom to express one’s strengths and lead with powerful authenticity.

Along with Michael’s core focus on leadership development, one of Michael’s unique specialties is workflow coaching. In this work, Michael offers specific practices and coaching to support leaders in improving their productivity and self-management, enabling them and their people to get more of the right things done with far less stress. Build capacity for greater balance and relaxed focus, and the real work of developing oneself as a leader can begin.

Before finding his calling as an executive coach, he spent 15 years in various management roles, leading teams in the advertising, consumer marketing, and design industries. Through this experience, he developed a deep appreciation for the intense personal and organizational demands that successful executives must meet every day.

Michael has a broad range of industry experience, including investment banking, technology, law, non-profits, biotech, consumer products, and private equity. Selected clients include Apple, Goldman Sachs, Dropbox, Genentech, Clorox, and Microsoft, and the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley.
